EARLY HITLER YOUTH KNIFE WITH MOTTO BY ANTON WINGEN Jr.

A very nice example of a Hitler Youth knife produced and used in the early 1930’s. High quality construction and as it’s early, they used steel for the hilt etc. This is nickel plated and is 100% intact! A perfect set of chequered grips with an inset enamel HJ diamond. The diamond is 100% intact with no chips but it has been ‘bruised’ slightly in one spot which makes the red enamel appear darker. Scabbard has a very good covering of the ORIGINAL black paint, with honest wear just to the bottom edge. The black leather belt strap and cross loop are in excellent shape and the popper button works perfectly. As this is an early piece, the blade has no riccasso. Blade is in very good order with nice an bright surfaces. The Blut Und Ehre motto is deeply etched to the obverse surface and is very clear. There has been an abortive attempt to try and sharpen the blade with a small grinding wheel. It’s just danced across the surface here and there and just slightly scratched the surface, but not really noticeable. The Anton Wingen Jr trademark of a standing Knight in armour is deeply stamped into the reverse of the blade. Nice HJ!!!
