Always a favourite dagger of mine as it is one thst represents the history of the Luftwaffe.

This is an extremely nice army officers dagger with the WMW WAFFEN maker stamped into the blade. This is the mark for Max Weyersberg. I’ve never had something quite like this before. It’s a standard Luftwaffe fighting knife, with a mint blade and marked with inspection stamp ’5’ on the riccasso, but there the similarity ends! Known by collectors as a ‘transitional dagger’ because it is between manufacturing periods.
