EARLY HITLER YOUTH DAGGER BY HARTKOPF & Co

An original but well used very early HJ dagger by HARTKOPF & Co. The price of HJ daggers has rocketed over the past few years, which has also created a strong market for good examples. This is not a mint dagger and shows quite heavy use and wear. However, it is a very early example with a no riccasso blade and the full Blut und Ehre motto. The hit is steel with nickel plating. A little has lifted on the reverse. The chequered grips house the enamel HJ diamond which just has a little ‘bruising’ to the red enamel but no chips etc. The scabbard retains the black surface finish. The leather belt loop and cross straps are complete but show some wear to the surfaces. The popper works! The blade has no riccasso, so is v early. The motto is still completely visible but is a little feint due to age and use. The HARTKOPF name is deeply stamped to the reverse.
A genuine, used, decent example reasonably priced.
