Not in mint condition and as found, but complete and in good order. carried by most combat units of the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS, this was a very popular combat knife. With a wide,strong spring on the reverse of the scabbard, this would clip to equipment or inside your boot. Dark hardwood grip is in good condition with no splits. Scabbard has original finish but texture is quite rough. Blade shows some age, but is full length and only slightly sharpened. The riccasso has the code stamp 'Cof' which was used by Carl Eickhorn throughout the was and is also found on K98 bayonets produced by them. It's not easy to find one of these knives with a maker mark, they are usually unmarked.
