Manufactured in the early 1930’s and at that time carried by every member of the SS, both officers and men (the officers chained dagger was introduced in 1936). I owner this dagger some 15 years ago and I remember it well. F&A HELBIG STEINBACH are a small but well known edged weapon manufacturer. EARLY RAD HEWER BY CARL EICKHORN.

This is one of the earliest RAD hewers produced by Eickhorn, right after they stopped making the ‘full stag’ grip type. All solid nickel fittings both to the hilt and to the scabbard fittings. THIRD REICH POLICE BAYONET BY CLEM & JUNG COMPLETE WITH FROG AND PORTAPEE.

Another nice complete piece. Again converted from an earlier Weimar police clamshell bayonet, showing all the tell-tale signs. Solid nickel eagle head pommel, with oak leaf decorated crossguard etc. Reverse of the crossguard is stamped with the original Weimar police issue details ‘S.Sch.I.791’ this is repeated on the back of the scabbard throat. MINIATURE K98 TYPE DRESS BAYONET.

Manufactured ostensibly as souvenir letter openers, many were engraved or etched with advertising company names etc. This one is plain, but would have served the same purpose.
