HITLER YOUTH KNIFE WITH FULL MOTTO BUT NO MAKER.

HITLER YOUTH KNIFE WITH FULL MOTTO BUT NO MAKER.

An interesting HJ knife bought back from my US trip. HJ knives are much more scarce here and are proving very popular with collectors. Like SA daggers, they are collectable by maker as there were dozens of manufacturers. The new books by the Canadian dealers, LakeSide Traders, will only boost our knowledge and popularity of this subject. This is a HJ knife in great condition. Is a mid-period pr...  read more

A PROPER USED AND FLOWN NAVY MARKED REICHSKRIEGSFLAG.

A PROPER USED AND FLOWN NAVY MARKED REICHSKRIEGSFLAG.

Not a mint example but one that’s been bought home as a souvenir and actually used and flown. This is a medium sized flag which measures 1.5m x 2.5m. It’s made of the usual rough sack-cloth cotton and has the complete cream linen halyard to one edge. The hem is marked in ink with the type of flag, the size and a nice eagle and swastika with a M underneath designating this was a navy or marine f...  read more

EARLY SA DAGGER BY F.DICK.

EARLY SA DAGGER BY F.DICK.

This recently came from an old collection in the Bristol area and has not been offered before. All early solid nickel fittings. Nickel eagle and perfect SA button. The very top of the grip edge has chipped slightly against the top crossguard. I imagine it was dipped many years ago. The colour of the wide exposed is exactly the same as the rest of the grip, so this is NOT a new blemish. In fact ...  read more

RAD OFFICERS 2 PIECE ALLOY BELT BUCKLE.

RAD OFFICERS 2 PIECE ALLOY BELT BUCKLE.

Considering there were quite a lot of RAD officers their buckles do not come up for sale very often. This is a near mint example in aluminium. If foes not seem to have been issued or worn. Both parts of the buckle are present. As far as I can see there is no maker evident on the reverse. An ideal display with other RAD insignia, or especially with a RAD OFFICERS dagger.  read more

EICKHORN-‘THE ALTERNATE ‘ROON’ OFFICERS SWORD.

EICKHORN-‘THE ALTERNATE ‘ROON’ OFFICERS SWORD.

Not too many collectors know that amongst the series of Field Marshal swords Eickhorn produced, there were TWO designs for the ‘Roon’ pattern. I have yet to discover why and we probably never will. This ,alternate Roon’ sword was featured on their shop advertising counter card (pictured) and was produced quite late as all the ones I have found are guided aluminium, not brass. Sword features a b...  read more

THIRD REICH MARKSMANSHIP LANYARD FOR ARTILLERY SOLDIERS.

THIRD REICH MARKSMANSHIP LANYARD FOR ARTILLERY SOLDIERS.

This is again a near mint example of an original 2nd type marksmanship lanyard in thick silver bullion with rayon protective backing. It has the larger shield with crossed rifles and Wehrmacht eagle in the centre. This one also has one single small shell attached to the lower part, which indicates it would have been given and worn by a soldier in the artillary. Much more unusual than a standard...  read more

RARE PATTERN THIRD REICH OFFICERS SWORD BY ALCOSO.

Sword collecting is extremely rewarding, as apart from the size and display issues, you get a lot for your money and the variations are huge. This is a RARE Officers sword by ALCOSO, it features in John Angola's sword book on page 69 and it's the only one I have ever had of this type. Unattributed (no model number known) it a a lovely design, but has no eagle and swastika present. Laurel leaves...  read more
