Really nice to find a RZM period SA dagger in this condition. Due to the materials used at the time, most of these dagger show deterioration in the crossguards and scabbard paint. This one shows none of that and is in near mint condition throughout. Both plated crossguards show very little age and full bright nickel plating. Perfect black celluloid grip with typical ‘springy wire’ wrap as used by Holler. Crossguard has closed wing Wehrmacht eagle and engraved knuckle bow etc. Near perfect black painted scabbard. A very nice nickel plated blade with the oval Holler trademark of a thermometer on the reverse blade.

A BLUE CLOTH AND LEATHER ‘UNDER TUNIC’ NAVAL DAGGER BELT.
All navy dress daggers were suspended from a pair of blue moire cloth hangers. If the naval officer wore one of the blue moire cloth ‘ day belts’, then the hangers were attached to slides and D rings on the belt itself. AN EXTREMELY RARE SET OF LEATHER ‘DOG LEAD’ HANGERS FOR THE NAVAL OFFICERS DRESS SWORD.
Because of their construction and uniqueness, these hangers, used on all Third Reich and Weimar period swords, just don’t turn up. In many cases the leather turns brittle and dry, then breaks. Very difficult to find a complete set in good condition.
