EARLY ALCOSO NAVY DAGGER WITH KNOT, ORANGE GRIP AND SAILING SHIP BLADE.

A lovely example of an early naval officers dagger which would have had a ‘ball’ pommel originally from the 1929 period, but was upgraded in the early ‘30’s with the Third Reich pommel. All brass fittings throughout. Deep orange celluloid grip with single twisted wire wrap. It has the original bullion portapee in the original tie. It has frayed in a few places but is still very sound and looks good. Scabbard has a few minor surface indentations but nothing serious. Blade is in near mint condition with full ‘sailing ship’ etch and very clear definition. Original felt buffer is in place. The early ALCOSO trademark is stamped into the riccasso.
A really good looking dagger.
