EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A SS MANS DAGGER RZM 1053/38 WKC.
This is a really good example of a SS mans dagger produced in the ‘mid’ period. All production of the all nickel examples has finished and the metal content has changed to a grey alloy, nickel plated for the crossguard and nickel plated steel for the scabbard fittings. All the scabbard bodies were gloss black paint. This one is in remarkable condition and the ONLY fault I can find with it is a small portion of the nickel plating has flaked off from the top crossguard on the reverse. Everything else is in near mint condition. Black wood grip has no damage whatsoever and the enamel SS runes button is undamaged. The grip eagle is aluminium. The blade is lovely with good crossgrain polish on both sides and deep and clear motto. The reverse of the blade has the RZM circle and the SS runes in a similar circle. In the middle is the WKC code 1053 and the date 1938, so 1053/38.
