LUFTWAFFE 2nd.Pattn. DAGGER WITH DEEP ORANGE GRIP, OWNERS NAME ON THE BLADE & HANGERS.

Quite a stunning looking dagger as the deep tangerine orange grip really makes it look different. It has the nickel plated type hilt fittings as well as the nickel plated type of scabbard. Grip has a single twisted wire wrap. Scabbard has a little age to it and a few bits of spotting/lifting but otherwise is fine. No dents or damage. The blade is an unmarked variety and is the polished steel type rather than nickel plated. Along the middle flat part of the blade, near go the crossguard, the original owner has STAMPED Zhis name into the steel. Each letter is done individually and each one is in a capital letter. It reads ‘E BRISTLE’. The last E has been over stamped as obviously the first ‘strike’ was not deep enough! Blade is in good condition with a little greying. Could be cleaned up some of do desired. I have not researched the name, it could be someone interesting perhaps. The dagger came with a set of well worn de-luxe hangers with brown leather tops. They have had quite a hard life and the shorter strap is very frayed. They still support the dagger and look good with it. They came with it, so have left them attached to the scabbard rings. An interesting, personalised dagger.
