A NICE 2nd Pattn LUFTWAFFE DAGGER BY RARER MAKER ANTON WINGEN Jr.

A NICE 2nd Pattn LUFTWAFFE DAGGER BY RARER MAKER ANTON WINGEN Jr.

A very good looking dagger that seems to be in virtually mint condition. The 23cm portapee has a little wear to it, but that’s about it. Very bright and clean fittings with no age to them. Perfect pommel and crossguard. Off-white celluloid grip which I think is a plaster filled type. There is an original 23cm bullion PORTEPEE tied correctly around the bottom of the grip. Silver single wire wrap...  read more

EARLY ALL BRASS NAVY DAGGER BY WKC.

EARLY ALL BRASS NAVY DAGGER BY WKC.

A nice example of a standard Third Reich naval officers dagger from the mid-late 30’s. Nice quality all brass fittings. Crossguard and pommel are typical WKC. Cream celluloid grip with twisted single wire. Grip is nearly perfect but has two small spider stress cracks to the surface on the reverse next to the crossguard. Very minor indeed and would cover if you put a knot on the dagger. Brass sc...  read more

LUFTWAFFE 1st PATTN DAGGER IN ALUMINIUM BY EICKHORN.

LUFTWAFFE 1st PATTN DAGGER IN ALUMINIUM BY EICKHORN.

A very nice example of the Luftwaffe 1st Pattn dagger in aluminium as worn by Senior NCO’s etc.
Whilst introduced in 1935 and then only worn by Officers, the introduction of the 2nd Pattn dagger in 1937 enabled just NCO’s to wear the 1st Pattn dagger, while Officers changed over to the 2nd Pattn. This is made by Eickhorn and has a mint nickel plated blade with the 1935-42 Eickhorn squir...  read more

EARLY ALL BRASS THIRD REICH LIONS HEAD PARADE SWORD

EARLY ALL BRASS THIRD REICH LIONS HEAD PARADE SWORD

I do think swords are still underrated, but I can understand the difficulty in display and storage. However, I think they are great value for money and are NOT generally reproduced at all. This is a decent example of an early lions head parade sword by Alcoso. It’s pictured in the Angola sword book. Heavy cast brass hilt with red glass eyes in the lions head. Perfect black celluloid grip with o...  read more

A SUPER EXAMPLE OF A RLB 2nd Pattn MANS DAGGER BY KRONECK/ERNST WITTE.

A SUPER EXAMPLE OF A RLB 2nd Pattn MANS DAGGER BY KRONECK/ERNST WITTE.

The series of RLB daggers are known for their noticeable Art Deco design the the hilt and crossguard. Originally introduced in 1936, they were slightly redesigned later on on 1938 to include a prominent swastika grip badge instead of the star badge with RLB lettering. This is a really nice example in every way and includes the small integral leather hanger which is sadly missing from many dagger...  read more

RARE ARMY DAGGER MINIATURE BY ALCOSO.

RARE ARMY DAGGER MINIATURE BY ALCOSO.

As many of you know I have collected miniature daggers for a great many years. I’ve been asked to write a reference book on them, and that’s something I may do in the future. In the years I’ve collected, I have never had one of this type of miniatures until recently. Alcoso made the BEST range of miniature daggers during the period. RAD Officer, army, 2nd Luft, Hunting Association and the very ...  read more

RARLY ‘33 SS DAGGER BY BOKER WITH TRIPLE HANGER.

RARLY ‘33 SS DAGGER BY BOKER WITH TRIPLE HANGER.

It is really good to get an early example of an SS dagger by this maker. BOKER is highly sort after, especially in America. The dagger remains in a great uncleaned state, with traces of green verdigris on the nickel fittings where the leather has been in contact with it over a period of time. In fact the short black hanger was fitted around the top scabbard fitting, hence the green lines on it....  read more

VERY RARE ORIGINAL HITLER YOUTH ‘DJ’ BUCKLE WITH VERY SMALL SIZE BELT.

VERY RARE ORIGINAL HITLER YOUTH ‘DJ’ BUCKLE WITH VERY SMALL SIZE BELT.

The Deutche Jungfolk ‘DJ’ were the youngest part of the Hitler Youth organisation. Membership was from 10 to 13 before they joined the Hitler Youth itself. Their uniforms etc were very similar except somewhat smaller in size. They also used a single lightning ‘sig rune’ as part of their insignia. On badges, uniform patches etc. Their early belt buckle was a nickel silver type with one single gi...  read more

AN ERASED SA ROHM DAGGER WITH A STORY!!

AN ERASED SA ROHM DAGGER WITH A STORY!!

I do like a story with a piece I buy, but the old adage goes ‘buy the item, not the story!’ However, this one seems to pan out. Here is a very nice, early SA dagger with an erased Rohm signature blade. The dagger has the small ‘Aesculap’ round trademark up very close to the crossguard. They only used this small mark on the Rohm pieces and Aesculap is a rare maker anyway. They also used to fin...  read more

HITLER YOUTH KNIFE BY ANTON WINGEN RZM M7/51.

HITLER YOUTH KNIFE BY ANTON WINGEN RZM M7/51.

A proper ‘used’ example that came from a friend of mine. His father kept it in his tool box for years and it has only surfaced recently. This is a post 1938 piece so does not have a blade motto. A very nice scabbard with all original paint and supple leather belt loop and cross strap. Popper present and works. Hilt has all the heavy nickel plating present with no wear. The chequered grip plates...  read more
