QUITE A RARE SWORD/DAGGER ACCESSORY - A WHITE LEATHER PARADE HANGER.

These do not appear very often, certainly with this finish. The leather finish would have been brighter than this 70+ years ago, but has turned a cream colour over time. This is a single tear-drop shaped hanger in a patent leather. Has a single aluminium large snap clip. Belt loop to the top. Reverse is a lighter tan leather and is maker stamped to the bottom. A little indistinct but clearly has the city/town of Bensburg 1940 very readable. These white hangers, along with belts, cross straps and other parts of uniform insignia, were only worn at important parades and functions. There are many period photos of the SS LAH etc all wearing white dress.
This would have been used on a SS or Police Dagen or could even been connected to a SS chained.
