A RARE SAW-BACK FIRE BAYONET WITH EVEN RARER MAKER!
A very nice example of a long Fire ‘bayonet’ with saw-back blade. Complete with original frog and the correct fire portapee. Not really a bayonet at all, but we call them such. Actually a parade sidearm. This one would have been at extra cost for the saw-back blade. In super condition with no damage or lifting to the hilt and S-shaped crossguard. Original black painted scabbard. Original black frog with the leather fire portapee, red/silver acorn. The blade is in near mint condition and made by quite an unusual maker RUDOLF BUCHEL. I think they just specialised in bayonets as their name does not appear too many times on daggers or swords. A nice COMPLETE sidearm.
