A VERY NICE, EARLY ALL NICKEL 1st LUFTWAFFE DAGGER BY HELBIG.

Allwsys a favourite dagger with collectors, something to do with the Teutonic design, down swept crossguard etc etc. This is a very nice, uncleaned example by FA Helbig. All solid nickel fittings have not been touched in a long time and all have the same dull yellow patina colour. The dark blue leather on the grip and scabbard is in remarkable condition, no damage, nicks or wear spots! The triple wire grip wire is perfect. There is a solid nickel hanging chain with snap clip. 9 upper rings and 14 lower ones. The blade is a heavily nickel plated type and is in mint condition. The Helbig logo and trademark is etched onto the surface, but they ALWAYS etched it so lightly, you can only just read it! There is a stamped Waffenampt stick bird beneath it. All complete and a nice dagger.
