1936 NSKK CHAINED DAGGER BY E.F. HORSTER M7/36.

INSTANTLY RE-LISTED DUE TO CUSTOMER INDECISION!!
An original NSKK 1936 officers chained dagger has actually become far harder to find than the SS chained version!! Introduced at the same time, officers now wore their new versions with the double chain attachment. This is a very nice example and is a factory produced item, not one of the earlier daggers with upgraded chains. There were several original manufacturers, Eickhorn perhaps being the most common. This one is made by HORSTER and is a perfect example by them.
All fittings are matching RZM period, so nickel plated over the alloy metal used on all RZM period daggers. No lifting of the plating as far as I can see. A very nice hardwood grip with no damage or cracks. Grip eagle and SA button are perfect. The scabbard has 98% of the original black factory paint. Upper, middle and lower fittings are near perfect. The chain is a lovely plated type with 4 upper links and 5 lower ones. All uncleaned so have a nice dark patina. The two upper links nearest the top clip are both stamped with usual markings. One with the ‘MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK’ etc. The other with the RZM code for the chain manufacturer M3/23. Very nice. The blade is stone mint with all crossgraining present and deep, crisp motto letters and dark grey background colour. A nice dagger, really hard to find in this condition.
