THIRD REICH RURAL POLICE SHAKO.

A very hard Shako to find as most are the black trimmed City police shakos. The rural or country police has uniforms trimmed with brown accessories. Bayonet scabbards, leather belts and frogs were all in brown leather. The Shako followed in the same vein and had a green wool body with brown peak, brown top.and brown leather chin strap. Large aluminium police badge affixed to the front. Interior has the original leather adjustable sweat band. This Shako is made by one of the best makers, EREL and their makers label is inside on the upper lining. A great looking Shako in near mint condition. It does have a very small thin strip of green wool missing from the back of the Shako covering. Whether this was cased by wear or insect damage is hard to decide.
