THE RAREST SIZE RIECHSKRIEGS FLAG- NAVY MARKED.

Third Reich flags have always been popular with collectors and perhaps the most iconic and collected of all us the Reichkriegsfag or War Flag. Flown by both the navy and army. With the Kriegsmarine issued ones having a small eagle and swastika stamp with a ‘M’ underneath on the rope hem pocket.
They come in a variety of sizes, huge building and battleship types down to very small ones used on small ships or U-boats. The rarest and most sort after size is this one, which measures 50 x 85cm. Table top size! These are easy to display in a cabinet or drawer. However, there were not many made compared to the other sizes, so have become extremely hard to find and also expensive. This is the smallest size. Marked in black ink on the cream rope pocket with the size and the navy ‘M’ etc. The maker of Koechin, Baumgartner u Cie A.G. Lotta h is printed on the reverse of the rope pocket. The retaining rope with loops at the end is sticjed in place. The fabric is the typical hessian rough material and the colours are still strong and clear. It has suffered a few moth nips over the years due to bad storage, but considering the rariety of the flag, I can live with these.Each edge is reinforced with multi-stitching I have not had an example of this flag in quite a few years and I am always asked for this size. Don’t hesitate, it won’t last long! Amazing little flag.
