A VERY SERVICEABLE AND DECENT SET OF ARMY DAGGER HANGERS.
This is a proper used set that have been on a dagger for quite a while and seen service! De-luxe top box clip with acorns and DRGM marked. Nice bullion fronts with dark green velvet backings. A little rubbing wear to the nap of the cloth. Tops have been period re-stitched as worn a little. Nice buckles and lower push up snap clips. A great set to put on an army dagger in the same condition. read more
UNUSUAL SET OF LUFTWAFFE DAGGER HANGERS WITH CANVAS BACKING
As I’ve mentioned before there are huge variations in the way dagger hangers were made. All basically looked the same and did the same purpose but clips and fabric etc etc were all different from one maker to another. This is a great set of hangers for the 2nd Pattn Luftwaffe dagger. It has the de-luxe top clip with oak leaves all over it. Reverse on this one has tiny ‘A’ Assmann marking. Blue ... read more

A DE-LUXE PAIR OF ARMY DAGGER HANGERS WITH METAL SWING TOPS.
There are dozens of variations of hangers both for army daggers and Luftwaffe ones. This is probably the nicest combination. This set has been worn and use but are still in near mint condition. The tops of the fabric straps end in metal tabs which are riveted to the open belt fitting. This enables the straps to move and swing with the dagger and prevents wear. Tabs are decorated with oak leave... read more

A MINT SET OF ARMY DAGGER HANGERS - UNUSED!
Purchased from an estate sale with one other set of straps. These have never been used in my opinion. No wear on anything, just some age due to time. More de-luxe type fittings with acorn box top fitting. Nice buckles and push up type lower clips. All fittings retain most of the original silver wash finish.
Reverse has dark green velvet. No wear at all!! read more
VERY RARE TRANSITIONAL SS ‘33 DAGGER BY HELBIG!!!
I owner this dagger some 15 years ago and I remember it well. F&A HELBIG STEINBACH are a small but well known edged weapon manufacturer. They are often encountered with the all aluminium NSFK flyers knife as they were the only manufacturer to make these. However, they made early DLV/NSFK daggers, SA daggers as well as Luftwaffe pieces. Their oval trademark was always etched very lightly on most... read more

EXTREMELY NICE 1936 SS CHAINED OFFICERS DAGGER.
CONSIGNMENT ITEM……A lovely example. A perfect ebony grip with inset eagle and undamaged SS runes button. Nickel silver upper and lower crossguards. The reverse of the lower on has a Gau mark stamped into it. Nrh. For many years both me and experienced dealers in this subject thought the crossguard had been replaced since the war. However, we were all wrong as untouched original pieces keep appe... read more
EARLY RAD HEWER BY CARL EICKHORN.
This is one of the earliest RAD hewers produced by Eickhorn, right after they stopped making the ‘full stag’ grip type. All solid nickel fittings both to the hilt and to the scabbard fittings. Lots of original scabbard paint with some period loss to the lower edge, which would have been bumped and thumped a lot. These hewers were initially worn by all ranks, both enlisted men and officers. The ... read more

IMPORTANT TYPE OF 1st LUFTWAFFE DAGGER.
These have come to be known as ‘transitional’ daggers as they are the earliest type of Luftwaffe daggers known. Before this there was only the long 55cm dagger worn by officers of the DLV. This was the Deutche Luft Verband, basically a ‘volunteer’ airforce formed by Hitler in the early 1930’s to circumvent the Versailles Treaty. The 1st Pattn Luftwaffe dagger is a direct design from the DLV 55c... read more
NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.
A good looking standard dagger with all brass fittings. There is virtually all of the original fire gilding left on all of the fittings. Pommel, crossguard and scabbard. The celluloid grip is perfect. At some time the original owner caught this dagger in a door or similar as the bottom 1” of the scabbard is slightly squashed and bent. A very common occurrence as these daggers hung back from the... read more
