HITLER YOUTH DAGGER DATED 1940.

A very good example of a post 1938 Hitler Youth knife. This is a slightly later example and after sometime in 1938 the Blut und Ehre motto was no longer etched on the blade. This has the vast majority of the nickel plating remaining on the hilt, but has worn away where the top leather loop rubs on the hilt.
Nice chequered grips with a perfect enamel HJ diamond reset into the grips. All original black scabbard paint is near perfect. Black belt strap and top cross strap with popper are in excellent condition. The blade is unsharpened and shows a lot of the original crossgrain polish marks. The reverse riccasso has the RZM stamp and code M7/40 and date 1940. M7/40 is the code for the The Hartkopf & Co., Stahlwarenfabrik factory.
A nice, honest HJ dagger.
