FIGHTING KNIFE WITH ADDED HJ BADGE.

An interesting fighting knife which seems to have started life as an Imperial German fighting knife. Had been carefully and professionally had the grip slightly shortened and a period HJ diamond badge inserted into the wooden grip. The grip was at one time painted black (matching HJ dagger grips). Period tubular steel scabbard with original leather belt loop and cross strap with working popper. Blade is in near mint condition, has been slightly sharpened. Has maker marks to both sides on the riccasso. RASIEMESSER FABRIC and ERN, WALD RHEINL.
