THIRD REICH POLICE OFFICERS SWORD BY PTR DAN KREBS - LONG!

This is another good, original sword from the police/SS sword collection. The collector really liked KREBS pieces, so most are made by them. As I mentioned in the other descriptions, Krebs used the same basic parts for all their police and SS swords, theta why you find the SS Kulturzeichen stamps on all their pieces. This has a very nice nickel plated hilt and D guard. Perfect black wood grip with horizontal wire and plated back strap. A nice large police badge inset into the grip with a copper finish. These badges were original plated with a silver flask coating, but this wears off over the years revealing the copper plating OVER the aluminium base. Good scabbard fittings and decent black paint. Lower scabbard fitting has small indents just above them in the scabbard body. Blade, and therefore the overall sword is very long. Blade measures 33””. There is an original leather blade washer in place. The blade is in very good condition with just a few very minor smudges. Krebs blades were polished raw steel, not plated. The reverse riccasso has the great Petr Dan Krebs trademark of a shield and a lobster inside!!!
