VERY AFFORDABLE POLICE OFFICERS SWORD BY PETR DAN KREBS.

Part of a collection I’ve just purchased which is mainly Police, SS Police and SS degens. Peter Dan Krebs made SS swords as well as SS officers swords. They therefore used the same parts for most of each of the swords. This one is not mint, but all original and a very decent example of the type. All hilt parts and upper and lower scabbard fittings are nickel plated steel. Nice, undamaged black ebony grip with perfect grip wire, back strap and copper coloured grip eagle. The scabbard has been repainted at some time, but it’s been done reasonably well. The surface underneath is quite rough. Blade is the standard dull matt finish. Has a few age spots here and there, but nothing dreadful. It’s quite a long sword, blade measures 29.5” long. It has leather buffer washer. The riccasso is stamped with the Krebs shield trademark with the lobster. Both the scabbard throat and the underneath of the hilt are stamped with the SS Kulturzeichen double SS runes. All Krebs police and SS swords are marked thus. Overall a very presentable sword and priced accordingly.
