A CLASSIC - TEXT BOOK SHORT SINGLE ETCHED ‘SERVICE TIME’ DRESS BAYONET BY EICKHORN.

A really nice example of the short ‘memory of my service time’ bayonet with the Luftwaffe etch shown on page 121 of Wayne Tychets excellent book. Classified as ‘scarce’. This etch features the closed with Wehrmacht eagle at one end of the etch and the Luftwaffe eagle at the other. The blade is in mint condition. The nickel plated hilt is near mint. Chequered grip plates are perfect. This bayonet has its ORIGINAL brown leather (Luftwaffe) frog as well as an original Luftwaffe portapee with blue leather strap! You can’t get better or more complete than this. The black scabbard paint is original and just a little worn towards the tip. A really great bayonet.
