A COMPLETE 2nd Pattn LUFTWAFFE DAGGER BY HERDER.

This is a really nice example, complete with its original 23cm bullion knot and a matching set of hangers. The dagger itself is virtually mint on the exterior with all the antique blackening finish to the pommel and crossguard. The scabbard is really super and has ALL of the airplane grey finish to the pebbled surface. Mid-orange celluloid grip with springy aluminium wire wrap. Original 23cm bullion knot tied in place. Nice set of Luftwaffe hangers with perfect straps and standard fittings. The blade is a polished steel variety and has the etched oval Herder trademark with a diamond in the centre. There are a couple of old finger smudges to the surface and the top 1/3 is totally mint. A nice blade overall. A good looking, complete dagger.
