A MINT CONDITION LONG PARADE BAYONET WITH FROG - UNUSUAL MAKER MARKS.

A lovely dress bayonet which is in virtually mint condition throughout. Full nickel plating to the hilt etc. Red felt plug in mortise slot. Perfect grips. Nice scabbard and its original black leather smaller sized frog (£75 on its own!). The blade is in stone mint condition and is covered with some light grease. Very unusual markings to the riccasso. Has the word ‘HOMMEL’ stamped in an arch over 2 kissing cranes. This trademark is for the Robert Klaas company, so I can only assume HOMMEL is some kind of distributor, but I’ve not seen it before.
