LONG K98 DRESS BAYONET WITH SINGLE ‘REMEMBRANCE’ ETCH - NCO’s PORTAPEE & FROG.

A really nice example of the privately purchased ‘Remembrance of my Service Time’ single etched parade bayonet. It’s in virtually mint condition throughout. Nickel plated fittings, perfect chequered grips, original leather frog and the green/silver NCO’s portapee. The blade is in stone mint condition and has the beautiful long etch with a small eagle and swastika one end and a steel helmet at the other. (the etch is so good you can even see the tiny eagle decal on the side of the helmet!) There is no makers mark to the reverse riccasso, just a small letter ‘S’! However, this exact etch is shown on page 137 of Wayne Tychet excellent book, and both Horster and Holler used this template. A great and complete etched bayonet. 100% original.
