AN ORIGINAL THIRD REICH UNUSUAL VEHICLE RECOGNITION FLAG.

These are plenty of period pictures of these particular flags tied to the bonnets of Kubelwagens or over the turrets of the smaller tanks. Basically they are a square NSDAP party type flag, single sided, with brass or steel eyelets on each corner, so you can tie them down. They are usually in pretty bad condition!! This one is in VERY good condition with bright clear colours and brass eylessbin each corner. They are usually quite basic and just have a printed white circle in the middle with the black swastika. This one is far better! The Red backing cloth is high quality cotton annd machine seamed on all edges, and the swastika and circle are a separately applied piece of printed SILK-like material! It could be early rayon or similar, but looks and feels like silk to me. The black swastika has a couple of minor wear spots were you can see the white backing material underneath. There are two small burn’’holes in one area, which add to the authenticity Measures 30”x35”.
