VERY EARLY ARMY SWORD BY ANTON WINGEN.

Whist the type and variety of Army parade swords is huge, it’s very interesting when you come across one of the early examples and marvel at the work involved in making them! This is a great dove head parade sword by Anton Wingen. It’s shown in the Angolia sword book on page 132. All brass hilt with amazingly detailed and profuse decoration to the knuckle bow and back strap. Highly detailed acorns and leaves running the whole length of each. Cast into the brass but then hand enhanced to bring out the detail!! Perfect celluloid grip with triple twisted wires. The crossgusrd eagle and swastika is an unusual stubby-winged design and is deeply cast. Original black paint to the scabbard with no dents or damage. The long blade is in mint condition and is nickel plated. The Anton Wingen trademark can just be seen under the reverse langet. Not a common pattern and one for the type collectors out there.

The sale of Knives and other Edged Weapons are restricted to those aged over 18. Verification of age is required before purchase is concluded.
