A SUPERB EARLY SS 33 DAGGER WITH VERTICAL HANGER BY HERDER.

This is a beautiful dagger in every way. Worn by all ranks of the SS until the chained model was introduced in 1936! This dates from before then. All solid nickel fittings in mint condition. The solid ebony grip has no discernible cracks or chips. However, the original owner has scratched his initials into the reverse grip ‘EH’. Lower crossguard has Roman numeral I. Scabbard is amazing as it has 95%!of the original lacquer OVER the anodised surface underneath. There is Ann original got he piece, vertical hanger attached to the upper scabbard ring. I have NOT removed it go checking it is RZM marked. It’s early so probably not. Super hanger though with buckle and solid nickel snap clip which is Assmann and DRGM marked. Blade is STONE MINT with 100% crossgrain polish, dark lettering to the Mein Ehre and a perfect oval RICH. ABR. HERDER trademark. A really great SS dagger and so hard to find like this now.
