This is a Third Reich ‘dove head’ officers parade sword by FW Holler. This is a type listed in the Holler catalogue as a Model 30 and is pictured on page 30 of the Swords of Germany book. The is a gilded over alloy hilt and nearly all of the original fire gilding has worn off. It reveals the siver grey alloy base which has becomes polished over time. Celluloid grip is perfect and all the springy wire thst Holler uses is intact and perfect. The scabbard has lost perhaps 50% of the black paint but still retains a dark background. The blade however, is in stone mint condition with a perfect nickel plated surface. The Holler trademark is seen on the reverse riccasso. This is also quite a long sword, so the owner would have been tall. An opportunity to purchase a real sword at a very affordable price!!!
