EARKY SA DAGGER BY CHROMALIT COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNCLEANED!!! WITH OWNERS ORIGINAL MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS.

I know a lot of collectors like daggers left in this condition. I have no idea where this has been stored or kept, probably in an attic or loft. It has NEVER been cleaned or polished and looks to have 80 years of patina all over the exterior. The nickel fittings have completely toned to a dark brown with layers of patina. This covers the grip as well as the scabbard fittings. Sa button and nickel eagle are perfect. There is a small chip in the grip to the top left corner. This has also toned down with age so is not readily noticeable. The lower crossguard as well as the top scabbard fitting have been deeply stamped with the original owners numbers ‘14/35905’ There is also the Gau stamp which is just readable Nm. Scabbard body retains all of the brown anodising and remarkably the lower ball is undamaged! The blade has remained sealed in the scabbard do is in near mint condition with all crossgrain present. There are a couple of minor surface ‘smudges’ but otherwise a great looking blade. The CHROMALIT trademark is deeply etched to the reverse riccasso. A most interesting dagger. If only it could talk!!!
