A very nice example that shows proper use and wear, but remains in very collectable condition. All brass construction with quite a bit of original fire gilding remaining throughout. Cream celluloid grip is crack and damage free and is a little ‘grubby looking’. Has original single twisted wire wrap. Tied around the pommel and crossguard is the original bullion dress knot. It remains perfectly set in place and tied as it was 80 years ago. It shows a little greying to the cord where it comes out of the grip tie. Scabbard is very nice. One VERY small indentation to the front in the lower half. Blade is in virtually mint condition, with a very deep clear etch and background shading. The Eickhorn trademark squirrel is deeply stamped into the reverse riccasso.
