A Nr. MINT CONDITIONED EARLY SA DAGGER BY MOST DESIRABLE MAKER ‘BISMARK’.
Purchased from a man in Norwich whose father returned from WW2 with this as a souvenir. He said his brother and he were occasionally allowed to play with it in the house when they were small!! One of these caused quite a stir on a recent DTC opening with Tom Wittmann and Robbie, so a lot of people like the ‘Bismark’ maker. All solid nickel fittings that has not been cleaned. Super mid colour wood grip with SA button and nickel eagle. Lower crossguard marked with Gau Ns stamp. The scabbard is really quite special. It has 98% of the original factory lacquer over all surfaces. There are just some very light handling and wear light scratched. There are a couple of indentations in the very edge of the scabbard under the right ring fitting. Looks like it was used to tap something in. Not noticeable and I did not see them initially. Lower scabbard fitting is perfect, no dents to the ball.
The blade is beautiful. Stone mint with all the crossgrain polish and grey background to the Alles fur Deutchland lettering. The reverse riccasso has the wonderful BISMARK name and Solingen underneath. Bismsrk was the trading name for the August Muller KG company. Originally a razor manufacture and formed in 1892. A really super SA.
The sale of Knives and other Edged Weapons are restricted to those aged over 18. Verification of age is required before purchase is concluded.”
