AN EARLY EICKHORN SUBORDINATE FORESTRY CUTLASS.

A classic Eickhorn cutlass which features in thdir sales catalogue from the time. All brass hilt with matching stag horn grips. Each has 3?acorns on each side. The ferrel has a cast squirrel holding a sword (Eickhorn trademark) with a stag at bay on the clamshell. The reverse ferrel has a running deer or fawn. Scabbard is black leather with upper and lower scabbard fittings. These are now a silver colour as the gilt wash has rubbed off over the years leaving the silver flash coat underneath. Some of it still visible under the scabbard staples etc. Blade is beautifully etched with the standard hunting scenes found on all Eickhorn pieces. Blade is in stone mint condition. The reverse riccasso is stamped with the very small, early Eickhorn oval trademark, which dates this cutlass to 1934/35.

The sale of Knives and other Edged Weapons are restricted to those aged over 18. Verification of age is required before purchase is concluded.”
