EARLY NSKK/SA DAGGER BY ROMUSO SOLINGEN - with personal ID numbers.

A very nice example of an early SA dagger, then changed to a NSKK, by rare (7/10)and unusual maker ROMUSO. This is the trade, shortened name for ROBERT MULLER & SOHN who were based in Merscheid-Solingen. An untouched and uncleaned dagger with great character. All solid nickel fittings throughout have a lovely toned patina. Dark wood grip is perfect with nickel eagle and perfect SA button. Lower crossguard has Nm Gau mark for Nordmark .
In addition the crossguard is stamped with the original owners SA or NSKK membership number 4/14011 Unusually this is repeated stamped on the scabbard throat in the same tiny numbers. I’ve not seen this before as they usually stamp them on the upper scabbard fitting. Nice variation. The scabbard body is undamaged and undented. As per instructions when the NSKK was formed, from the membership of the SA, the scabbard body has been painted/anodised black. This finish is mostly perfectly intact. The lower scabbard ball is undamaged. The blade itself is in MINT condition with all mirror crossgrain polish and dark Alles fur Deutchland lettering. There is a very slight blemish to the blade near the crossguard, a v small grey shadow, but otherwise a beautiful blade. The reverse riccasso has the ROMUSO trademark etc.
