RAD OFFICERS DAGGER BY WEYERSBERG.

A really nice example of this elegant dagger introduced for RAD officers to wear in 1938. Up until then both officers, NCO’s and men all wore the large and heavy RAD hewer. All the silver plated fittings are in fine condition with none of the very common lifting found on these pieces. The scabbard even has quite a lot of the original silver ‘wash’ that was on all the metal parts. Cream celluloid grips with no cracking around the screw area. Scabbard is undented. Blade is in near mint condition with no issues. Smooth, clear surface finish with all the blackening in the RAD motto lettering. Reverse riccasso has the oval Weyersberg trademark.
