A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF A RLB 2nd Patt OFFICERS DAGGER WITH STRAPS.

I was very lucky to be offered this as a direct purchase from an old customer. The RLB series of daggers are all masterpieces of Art Deco design. This later period Officers example features aluminium crossguard and pommel. These specific daggers are usually made by Ernst Witt but there is no maker on this mint blade. It has PERFECT dark blue leather to the grip and the scabbard. Not a scuff in sight! Scabbard has steel nickel plated fittings, which have toned a little with age, otherwise are perfect. The sunburst badge on the grip has a PERFECT enamel swastika, no chips or scratches at all as well as all the silver finish to the sun rays.
The blade is a nickel plated variety and is in mint condition also. The dagger came with its original leather straps which again ares in lovely condition. Leather is fine and supple. All the correct hardware still retains the plating. All clips present and everything works properly. A really ideal opportunity to acquire a complete example with the more unusual aluminium fittings.
