A DOUBLE MARKED ‘TRANSITIONAL’ EICKHORN ‘33 SS MANS WITH ORIGINAL VERTICAL HANGER!

This is one of the nicest ‘transitional’ SS mans daggers I have had in a long time. Eickhorn trademark with its original vertical hanger!
This was made just on the turn between early all nickel pieces and the changeover to the later made pieces. The blade is in near mint condition with all crossgrain polish, deep colour to the motto and best of all, the reverse has the etched Eickhorn squirrel and above it the full RZM mark and code for Eickhorn 941/38 SS. This was therefore made in 1938. Nickel plated crossguards have all the plating but with just a little age spotting. These are UNCLEANED. A perfect ebony grip with enamel SS button and a nickel grip eagle. Scabbsrd has all the ORIGINAL black paint with is 100% intact with just a little age spidering just to prove it is old!! It also has its ORIGINAL black leather vertical hanger which sits nicely in place. Hanger has a steel nickel plated snap clip which is RZM marked too! What a combination! These transitional pieces are well liked and are quite rare as only existed for a short period during the ‘transition’ from only maker marked to only RZM marked. A very nice dagger.
