AN EARLY ‘33 SS DAGGER BY KLAAS WITH PERSONALISATION, SS NUMBERS AND TRIPLE HANGER!!!

A really complete and amazing dagger. This original SS owner was really proud of this dagger. For a starter it is numbered with his 6 digit membership details deeply stamped under the crossguard 132191. He has also paid a skilled individual to engrave a very intricate design on the top scabbard fitting. It’s like a flowing scroll with leaves in the middle and then bordered by lines. Quite lovely really. No idea what it means though!!
The dagger is of course a very early piece 1934/35 perhaps. All fittings are solid nickel. A very nice ebony wood grip with no issues. Perfect nickel eagle and SS enamel button. Lower crossguard, as well as being numbered, has the Roman numeral I stamped in the middle. Scabbard body is undamaged with a good proportion of the original anodising/lacquer/paint etc all intact. Lower scabbard fitting is undamaged. The dagger also has its original TRIPLE black leather hanger, with early all nickel buckle and snap clip!!! Blade is extremely nice. A very little age and great crossgrain polish throughout. The motto retains blackening in all the letters and the reverse riccasso has the Robert Klaas trademark in a circle depicting the ‘kissing Cranes’.
A very excellent dagger indeed.
