EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF AN EICKHORN ARMY DAGGER WITH KNOT AND HANGERS.

I always am pleased to purchase a complete dagger, and one thst looks to have been together for ever. This was a private purchase at the last Thetford fair. This Eickhorn army dagger has been untouched and uncleaned for MANY years. It has a high silver content silver plated scabbsrd with no damage, that has developed a very nice ‘silver patina’. Quite a deep orange celluloid grip and one of the period rayon knots which always go quite a golden colour. Eichorn 2nd type crossguard, again toned with patina. A very nice set of straps which show a little proper use of rubbing against a tunic. De-luxe push up lower clips and very nice metal ‘swing’ tops. Nice straps!! Blade is nickel plated and in virtually mint condition. The reverse riccasso has the 1935-42 Eickhorn squirrel trademark.
