A SUPERB FULL ROHM SA DAGGER BY ANTON WINGEN Jr.
I am VERY pleased to offer another of these ultra rare daggers. This one from a 40 year old collection and has not been offered to the collecting community before. A FULL ROHM signature on a mint blade by Anton Wingen Jr. Obviously the dagger itself is a very early piece as these were only authorised by Ernst Rohm in 1933/4. All sold nickel fittings throughout. Looks to have never been apart and everything fits as tight as a drum. Super mid-brown hardwood grip with nickel eagle and enamel SA button. Lower crossguard is stamped in the very corner with the Gau mark Ho for Hochland.
Every SA I have had from this area always has the 2 letter stamp off to one side, right in the corner.
A very nice scabbard with one small dent to the lower fitting on the reverse. The scabbard body actually has nearly all of the original ‘Zapon’ lacquer which shows a fair bit of surface scratching, but all the brown anodising is present underneath! The blade is really pretty and rates 99% mint. All original crossgrain polish on both sides. The Alles fur Deutchland and the full Rohm inscription are the same colour and same depth of etch on both applications. The reverse of the blade has the full Ernst Rohm dedication and the full sized Anton Wingen logo. (They also made these with a slightly smaller logo, but this is a full sized one)
A really rare and historical dagger in wonderful condition.
