A NSFK FLYERS DAGGER BY SMF.

Always a favourite dagger of mine as it is one thst represents the history of the Luftwaffe.
Originally named the DLV (Deutsch Luft Verband) and formed as a ‘secret’ organisation to avoid the Versailles Treaty. They then became the NSFK (National Socialist Flying Korps) and finally the Luftwaffe. Each time their daggers changed a bit!!
This is a NSKK issued dagger and has the figure of Icarus symbol stamped into the top of the scabbard throat. Very nice matching blue Morrocan leather to the grip and scabbard. Solid nickel fittings to the crossguard and scabbard. It has the original shot hanger and clip which is permanently fixed to the scabbard ring. One end of the winged crossguard is stamped with the letter K (no idea why!!)
Blade is in mint condition with all crossgrain polish and has the original leather blade buffer.
A really nice NSFK dagger.
