ITALIAN MVSN OFFICERS DRESS DAGGER WITH REMNANT STRAPS.

This is the very popular Italian dress dagger worn by officers from 1937. Wonderful Art Deco design with the hilt cast in aluminium with a stylised eagle pommel. Black Bakelite grips with brass inset Facist sheaf insignia. A stone mint bright chrome plated blade with single edge. Original black painted scabbard with twin hanger rings. These were worn with two sets of hangers. An ornate gilded brass twin chain or black leather hangers with gilded brass fitting.
This has the remains of the rarer black leather hangers. Both straps and lower clips are present but the ornate top belt clip is missing. Find a set of complete straps, and you will have a lovely dagger as the rest of it is very nice.
