A BEAUTIFUL LIONS HEAD SWORD IN GILDED ALUMINIUM BY CLEM & JUNG.

A really pretty looking officers sword as the hilt is bright, gilded aluminium. Clem &Jung were one of the few manufacturers who used the ‘new metal’ aluminium and put it to good use! Their gilding is VERY distinctive as it is so bright and strong. The lions head hilt is very nice indeed with very little signs of use and the gilding remains about 95% intact, with just a few high spots showing the aluminium base underneath. There are red glass eyes, a perfect black celluloid grip with triple twisted wire, all in mint condition. A near perfect black painted scabbard. The nickel plated blade is in stone mint condition. The Clem & Jung logo is positioned underneath the crossguard langet and is stamped in an elongated oval.
