AN EARLY SA DAGGER WITH RARER MAKER 9/10 SCARCITY.

A good example of one of the early SA dagger, and even better it has a maker that is rated 9/10 on the scarcity lists. This one is made by Carl Schmidt & Sohn AG Solingen. All nickel fittings are uncleaned and have a light patina to the surfaces. Themis-brown hardwood grip is undamaged and there is a nice nickel eagle and SA button. Lower crossguard is Gau stamped Wf for district Westphalia. The scabbard retained all of the original brown ‘anodised’ coating but there is some spotting to the surfaces. The bottom ball has a very small dent. The blade is in Exc+ condition with most of the original crossgrain polish remaining and good colour to the Alles fur Deutchland lettering. There are a few slight surface smudges, which seem to be old finger marks, otherwise a nice , honest blade.
Perhaps one that will fill a hole in your collection, if you need this maker.
