You still get a lot for your money with these sidearms. An early long Third Reich police bayonet and as all the early ones are, converted from a Weimar Clamshell police bayonet. Silver eagle head hilt with stag grip plated and oval aluminium police badge. Brown leather scabbard with brown leather frog. Original police portepee tied in place The reverse of the frog is stamped ‘Po’ for police. The heavily nickel plated blade is in mint condition. Evidence of the usual shortening at the bottom when converted from the Weimar period. Reverse of top scabbard fitting and reverse of crossguard both stamped with the same original police area issue numbers. L.Lg.165. (Probably Luneberg district) Alcoso trademark one side and full company name on the other. A really nice and complete RURAL police bayonet.
