AN EXCELLENT, NEAR MINT EXAMPLE OF AN ALCOSO ARMY DAGGER WITH STRAPS & KNOT.
Alcoso made 3 types of crossguard during their army dagger production and this is the 2nd type used from around 1937. A really nice dagger and accessories, which in my opinion have been together since the, and bought back as a souvenir.
A text-book Alcoso dagger with all the normal production traits. Alcoso scabbard, Alcoso pommel etc. Dagger is in near mint condition. All plating remains throughout, a stunning yellow/orange grip. Original 42cm knot tied in place with no fraying. Perfect, dent free scabbard. The matching hangers are in similar mint condition and the original owner has installed extra eyelets on each strap to adjust how he wore the dagger! Blade is virtually mint with one minor finger smudge on one side. Reverse ricasso has the second type of trademark used by ALCOSO. A great, complete dagger.
