A COMPLETE NSDAP POLITICAL GORGET WITH MATCHING RZM CODES TO CHAIN AND GORGET!

Always a wonderful dramatic looking display item with any collection. These standard bearers gorgets were worn on important parade occasions. This one is completely untouched and in original condition. The dull gold ‘anodised’ finish is all there. Has not been polished up in any way. There are a couple of age spots go the surface here and there but no damage the large political outstretched eagle is tightly attached to the crescent backing. The wonderful chain is attached to the reverse clips on each side. The 31 link chain is full length and perfect with its complete antique looking gilt finish. Unusually, and very nice to find, the gorget AND the chain carry the same makers RZM numbers. Both are RZM M1/128. This is stamped into the last chain link and on the brass clip on the gorget. Both the gorgets and the chains were made by various different companies and in most cases chsin makers and gorget fo not match, which is perfectly fine. However, as an added bonus, these are made by the same factory. This RZM number equated to a company called Eugen Schmidhäussler in Pforzheim. They made badges, medals and accessories during the Third Reich period.
The gorget retains its ORIGINAL green felt backing which has suffered a bit from moth grub nips, but it is the original 1930’s cloth and not a replacement. A great gorget!!!
