IMPERIAL GERMAN WW1 TRENCH KNIFE.
A well known and documented example of a trench knife carried by German Infantrymen in WW1. A near identical example pictured on page 28 of the book ‘German Combat knives 1914-1945 by Christian MERY. This dagger is in excellent condition throughout. Wood grips with 9 slanted grooves to each side. Steel crossguard with quillion. Black painted steel scabbard with an intact leather belt loop. Blade is in mint condition with crossgrain polish present and no sharpening. A very nice example.
