A SHORT ‘MEMORY OF MY SERVICE TIME’ DRESS BAYONET BY HOLLER- COMPLETE.

This is a prime example of one of the privately purchased dress bayonets, with a beautiful single etched blade to commemorate service time in the military. In near mint condition this one is by FW HOLLER and features one of their best know etched with a closed wing swastika at each end of the ‘remembrance’ panel. Perfect nickel plated hilt with red felt insert in the rifle mortice slot.
Perfect chequered grips and original leather blade washer. The scabbard has virtually all of the original black paint and has a very nice black leather frog. The frog has an original green/silver NCO’s portapee tied around it. This exact type of etch is pictured on page. 174 of Wayne Techet excellent book on German Etched Bayonets.
A really good, original example.
