ANOTHER EARLY ERASED ROHM SA BY ED.WUSTOFF.

Not a common dagger to find with a Rohm dedication. It just goes to show how many different manufacturers were employed to make all the Rohm dedicated and presented daggers!! This Rohm SA has been left alone for a great many years and all of the nickel fittings have developed a universal dull yellow patina. Given to all the SA followers of Ernst Rohm in 1934, this dagger is now 90 years old! It has also never been messed with or taken apart. The lower crossguard is Gau marked Nrh. A nice mid brown hardwood grip with nickel eagle and enamel SA button. A very good finish to the brown anodised scabbard. The dagger has been dropped at some time (a long time ago!) and the lower scabbard ball has been bent upwards by 45 degrees!! Not split, just bent!! I bet the original SA man was annoyed when he did it, but it is quite a common piece of damage on SA and SS daggers.
The blade is in mint condition with all original crossgrain polish and good background to the lettering. The reverse riccasso has the Ed.Wustoff trademark with has been 50% removed by the Rohm removal process. This has been factory or expertly done but differences in the crossgrain polish are quite evident. A great example with a rarer maker.
